Each year, CLIO appoints top creatives and marketers from around the world to serve on our distinct juries. CLIO selects individuals whose own creative work epitomizes the best of their respective fields, ensuring that each juror has an in-depth understanding of the industry’s evolving marketplace.
The CLIO judging process is known for its diplomatic approach to recognizing creative excellence. All jurors have an equal say in decisions, and the majority vote rules.
Juries will review all of the entries submitted within their respected medium type. After narrowing down the entries in the first two rounds, the Executive Jury will reconvene for the final round to discuss, debate and ultimately award statues. A jury does not have to award a statue or a shortlist in any of the mediums and categories. They have the option to award as many entries, or as few, as they see fit. The jury has the option to award an entry Shortlist, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each jury also has the option of awarding CLIO’s highest honor, the Grand CLIO. A Grand CLIO is reserved for a submission that is considered by the jury to be far and away the most innovative and may ultimately drive the creative direction of the industry moving forward.
