CLIO Healthcare 2015 Media Requirements

Below is an overview of the media requirements.

• KEY DATES

  CLIO HEALTHCARE ENTRIES ARE NOW CLOSED

• GENERAL ELIGIBILITY

  Entries first appearing in public between April 1, 2014 - July 31, 2015 are eligible for entry into this year's CLIO Healthcare Awards.

  Entries cannot be made without the permission of the client and/or owner of the rights of the work. All entries must have been created for a paying client except pro bono work for charities and non-profit organizations. Spec ads and director's cuts are NOT eligible. CLIO Healthcare retains the rights to disqualify entries which offend national, religious, cultural or racial feelings. 

  Entries previously entered into the CLIO Healthcare Awards are not eligible to be re-submitted. 

• JPG UPLOAD

  Required Spec for JPG Uploads:

  • Resolution: 2400 x 3000 pixels (portrait minimum), 3000 x 2400 pixels (landscape minimum)*  
  • File type: .jpg
  • Color mode: RGB
  • File size: up to 7 MB

  *Resolution specs are different for the Digital, Digital Technique, Film, Film Technique and Social Media medium types. Please see entry requirements tab within each medium for specific specs. 

  JPG uploads are required for all medium types. Please do NOT send boards, CD's/DVD's or a physical sample. 

• VIDEO UPLOAD

  Required Spec for Video Uploads:

  • Resolution: 640 x 480 pixels (minimum)
  • File type: .mov, .mp4
  • Compression: h264
  • Sound: AAC 44khz
  • File size: up to 300 MB 

   

  IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT use QuickTime or QuickTime Pro to remove the bars, slate and black as they will still show up in the media generated for our judging system.  Please use a dedicated editing tool such as Final Cut or Avid. Please keep case study videos between a two [2] to three [3] mintue maximum. All entries are to be submitted as a video upload ONLY. Please do NOT send in CD's/DVD's. 

   

• PDF UPLOAD

  PDF uploads are optional for all medium types.

  • PDFs can be either single page or multiple pages. We suggest that some medium types such as Design, may submit an entire brochure to show covers and spreads.
  • A PDF can be up to 7 MB.
  • PDFs do not need to be 300dpi resolution. We suggest using Adobe's 'Reduced Size PDF' feature when saving your file for upload. This will provide your PDF with greater quality for judging and will increase your upload speed. 
• MP3 UPLOAD

  Required Spec for MP3 Uploads:

  • File type: .mp3
  • Sampling rate: 44 KHz (44,100 Hz)
  • Bit rate: 196 KB/s (maximum)
  • Sound: Stereo
  • File size: up to 7 MB

  Please remove tones from the beginning and the end of the advertisement. Please do NOT send in CD's/DVD's.
