Weber Shandwick
Peter is the North American Creative Director for Health at Weber Shandwick, responsible for elevating creativity practice-wide and helping to articulate and amplify client storytelling. In this role, the first of its kind at the agency, Peter drives creative strategy and execution for top-tier health brands including Novartis, Boehringer Ingelheim and Johnson & Johnson. He brings to clients diverse therapeutic category experience, including infectious disease, oncology, diabetes, cardiovascular, obesity, multiple sclerosis and more. He has won numerous awards for his health communications work.
Since journalism school, Peter has focused on the art of storytelling, honing his skill in a variety of communications positions, including journalism, public relations and corporate communications. He has also been a volunteer for well over a decade and currently works with the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research in support of its LGBT youth education efforts. Previously, he led volunteer communications efforts with The Trevor Project (New York), GMHC (New York), Kids Help Phone (Toronto), AIDS Committee Toronto and The Grace Hospital (Ottawa).
Peter has had the opportunity to live and work around the world, including five years in New York and considerable time in London, Frankfurt, Montreal and Toronto. Fluent in French, he always takes his Canadian pride with him wherever he goes, including his passion for Canadian writers and artists, his dedication to hockey and all things snow.
He holds degrees in journalism and mass communication from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
